My Work and Education History
A journey through my tech life.
  • Contract Website Design and Development

Started building websites for local small businesses and even my high school. One of my sites got featured in the newspaper—back when websites were a big deal!

  • Salery Position at Glenn-Net Communication

Worked at a local internet company developing websites, including some pretty large and innovative projects.

  • Freelance Website Design and Development

Returned to freelancing because the office life wasn't for me. I enjoyed the flexibility of working directly with clients on web development projects.

  • Traveling Europe

Spent nearly a year exploring Europe, where I made a website for a bar in Italy just for fun. It was an incredible experience all around.

  • Exploring Different Paths

Tried my hand at starting, buying, and selling small businesses—profitable but unfulfilling. I also dabbled in web development during this time. I attended St. Lawrence College briefly to explore new career options but nothing really clicked. Took jobs at companies like ADT Security and Nikon, still in search of the right challenge.

  • Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario

Finally found my challenge! I enrolled in a BAH at Queen's University, specializing in Cognitive Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence. I worked in and managed a research lab, published papers, earned research awards, and traveled to conferences. I even had visiting professors suggesting PhD programs—but I had other plans.

  • Gold Silver Club

After the financial crash, I became fascinated by economics. I started a small bullion dealer in Montreal and, naturally, built the software to run it.

  • The Bullion Exchange

With my gold industry experience, I built out systems for The Bullion Exchange, including customer tracking, PDF invoicing, and much more.

  • Bullion Tracker

Created a web app to track precious metals purchases, set price alerts, and export holdings details. Sold the app after receiving an offer—though it's no longer available, it was exactly what I wanted in a tracker.

  • CTO of Equibit Group

Co-founded Equibit Group, a blockchain-based securities trading platform. We raised $4.5 million and the company was valued at around $150 million at its peak. After some management disagreements, I left and watched the company fall apart.

  • IT Lead at Strategic Wealth Preservation

Having done a small contract for SWP the year before, I knew the management from my Gold Silver Club days. I rebuilt their website and developed a full management system for customers, invoices, auditing, vault movements, and more.

  • RDG and GoldEverywhere

Started Rapid Dev Group to manage my long-term website clients, and GoldEverywhere to improve the gold bullion industry through tech, leveraging my years of experience in both fields.
